I know there are more serious things to write about. But today is my birthday. So celebrating today is in order.
I always tell people there is a reason I am a lawyer rather than an accountant. It has to do with numbers.
There are all kinds of number: Big ones, small ones, negative ones and on and on and on.
But in this day of celebration, I have found a new category -- numbers I just don't want to know.
Don't get me wrong. This isn't about my age. That is a struggling but still ticking 73. It is about the numbers presented in this story by a writer for the London Telegraph.
I have to confess, on a day that should be making me happy that I am still here, these numbers just made me sad. Rather than repeat them, I'll just let you read them for yourself:
